03/28/19 At 2043 hrs box 55-1 was struck for a working structure fire. Rescue 40 responded with a crew of 5. Rescue arrived on the scene was assigned as RIT. Crew staged on side A of the building. Crew remained on the scene till released by command 55. Time out was 1 hr 18 mins.

03/25/19 At 0004 hrs box 49-1 was struck for a working structure fire. Engine 40 responded with a crew of 3. Engine 40 arrived and took up the 3rd due engine assignment and crew was sent to manpower. Crew was then assigned to exposure B and tasked with opening up to check for extension and then salvage in the exposure building. Time out was 1 hr 15 mins.
Box 91-2 MVA
03/23/19 At 2042 Rescue 40 was dispatched to assist Co. 91 on an auto accident in Interstate 83 South at Exit 45. Rescue 40 responded with a crew of 5. Rescue arrived and assisted EMS with checking for injuries. Crew then assisted with lighting on the scene till PD finished with their investigation. Crew also assisted with debris clean up. Time out was 2 hrs 14 mins.
Box 40-1 MVA with Injuries
03/18/19 At 2044 hrs box 40-1 was struck for an auto accident in the 3200 blk of Derry St. Chief 40-1 responded. County advised of a 3 vehicle accident, and a male with a head injury. Chief 40-1 arrived on the scene to find a vehicle sitting in the middle of Derry St and a parked vehicle into the rear of another parked car. Found a male sitting on the curb. Rescue 40 responded with a crew of 4 and Engine 40 with a crew of 2. Rescue crew arrived and an EMT started pt care to till EMS arrived and crew started to contain a running fuel leak from one of the vehicle. EMS arrived and took over pt care. Crews then assisted with debris clean up. Time out was 47 mins.
2019 Paxtang Fire St. Patty’s Day Party
03/10/19 Today was our Annual St. Patty’s Day Party at the Paxtang Grill. The event ran from 4pm till 9PM. There was light refreshments available with a cash bar. There were a raffle for a $500.00 gift card and 50/50 drawings. We would like to thank the Paxtang Gill for the use, the food they donated and the staff that worked for the event and also Fleming Sub for the food they donated for the event. It was a great time by all that attended.
Box 40-2 Chimney Fire
03/02/19 At 1600 hrs box 40-2 was struck for a chimney fire. Engine 40 responded with a crew of 4 and Rescue 40 responded with a crew of 3. Engine 40 arrived and pick up the hydrant in front of the home. Truck 32 arrived and took side B and was sent to the roof. Crews found light smoke in the home. Truck crew dropped chimney bombs. Crews then cleaned out the fireplace and debris that fell from the chimney due to the chains and bombs sent down the chimney from the truck company. Crews use a TIC to scan the walls on all 3 floors to make sure there was no hidden fire. Time out was 2 hrs 51 mins.

Engine 40 took up 3rd due engine assignment and laid into the rear of the structure and sent it’s manpower forward. Crew was sent to the 2nd division to assist with opening up and overhaul. Time out was 1 hr 2 mins.
City Transfer
02/17/19 At 0128 hrs the Engine was dispatch to transfer into city station 2 while city units work a structure fire in the uptown section. Engine responded with a crew of 4. Crew stood-by till released by command. There were no calls for service while on stand-by. Time out was 4 hrs 10 mins.
Box 40-1 Smoke Investigation
02/04/19 At 2104 hrs box 40-1 was struck for an odor of smoke in a house. Engine responded with a crew of 3 and Rescue responded with a crew of 2. Engine arrived and took side A leaving room for the truck. Engine crew investigated and found no smoke in the home. The box was scaled back to just 40 units. After further investigation it was found to be a malfunction furnace. Time out was 36 mins.
